You were supposed to come out of that room with your bundle of joy.
To show the world you have become a mother.
But as God would have it, that will be the last room you will see on this earth.
I remember the days in the Barracks and Command, you were so full of life.
I go to you wall and I read all the nice words everyone had to say about you.
The last time I saw you was at Ikeja, when we went to write the CIPM Certification exam.
I remember our last chat, and you asking to come back to write the rest of the institute's exam.
I was happy when I saw your wedding pictures in Dec, sad I was not there to share your joy with you.
Memories of those days in Unilag, Makama bida hall and the Faculty of Arts.
Our dreams for the future and how we were supposed to take over the HR world.
The news of your death or that of any one close to me was the last thing on my mind.
February took you away. The Leap day took you away.
2012 is to be your last year on earth.
Even though you are no longer a part of my future bubu.
I am glad to have known and befriended you in my past.
You live, You loved and You were loved.
We love you but God loves you more.
