I have been cracking since i heard this gist. It is not a funny matter, but a really serious one, but hearing sure makes one laugh.

Imagine been slapped by a superior at work...

While everyone was reeling in the after valentine blues and some still in the valentine spirit, my mum's boss was sure in a bad mood. He obviously woke up on the wrong side of his bed.

The man got to work and the first thing he did after speaking about two words to another officer who is only a rank lower to him was to slap him on the parades ground under the national flag in the full glare of every one.

He did not stop at that, he went ahead to slap two other officers in their varying offices.

The three officers are not junior officers but senior officers, The man slapped in the view of every one is way older and if not for the stupid quota system which favors only the notherners, He would be ahead of him in rank as He started work way before this dude would think of working in his life.

and the first thing i asked my mum after listening to the gist was if one is allowed to physically assault a fellow officer whether junior or senior under the civil service act.

This is a serious offence according to the civil service act or is it code and i hope that man gets to pay for his actions.

Late...

I was ten minutes late to work today, imagine been late on your 2nd day at work, when JJC like me is supposed to be impressing oga madam. It is not kuku my fault...it is not like i did not wake up on time or leave the house late. I was just unfortunate to be a passenger of an epileptic bus.

I should have listened to the man that was busy raking on the driver when i entered but my head was just not with me at that moment. The bus's case pass epilepsy, if there was another word to describe the drama, that this stupid bus performed please provide. To make matters worse, the bus decided to quench at unsuitable zones where the was no way of getting any form of transportation, except one treks down the road which is about 50m. The driver even refused to give us back our money.

The passengers in the bus were another matter entirely. There was this particular man who I was sure would have serious headache if the bus had a smooth sailing. He was just hammering that the bus will quench and the bus was not alright till he got down from the bus. At some point, some passengers were just abusing themselves, the driver self tire and startede driving roughly. The two poeple in the front seat besided the driver started first, the woman accused her partner of nagging too much and not allowing the driver to concentrate. They abbused themselves no be small. The other ones started arguing on payment of T-fare and within minutes abuse start. Even the ever occuring noise at Ikotun market was not as loud as the bus this morning.
Me my laughing gas was just leaking, scenerios like this get me cracking, the man seated beside me, was giving me strong look and I did not just send him.

A journey of one hour took two hours, but I was not bother because I got a good laugh of the whole situation. Luckily for me,there was no hold up at TinCan, so I got a smooth sail to Apapa and the boss is not around.

New dawn

I am sitted at the reception of my new organization,30 minutes before official resumption time. There is no on in sight, except the clearer, even the receptionist is no where to be found. JJC me is all alone with the cleaners.

I actually didn't think i would get the job, because i got this weird feeling from the MD during my 2nd interview that she wanted someone with exprience, guess i was wrong and here i am sitted at the reception, waiting for the day to start.

This is the begining of a future unknown...
How long i am going to be here for, only the future will tell, no matter how long, i hope to have a wonderful experience here.

My holiday plan for the year is soo gone on hold as there is no going on leave clause for a year, told it's a usual thing with private organizations.

So going to miss my late night movies, late wake ups and aimless lounging/lazying around. Back to the life of early wake ups, make up with phone's touch light, long trip back home in those snail-speed traffic and practically no social life...social life, i have to improvise one...
